TravelOnly appoints Leia Marvin as VP of client success
Leia Marvin is now TravelOnly's vice-president of client success.

Leia Marvin has been appointed to vice-president of client success at TravelOnly, PAX has learned.

With nearly 20 years of experience, Marvin is no stranger to the travel industry.

She has held roles in reservations to product and sales to business development, working for major brands such as Qantas Vacations, Goway Travel, Tourcan, AAT Kings and, most recently, as a sales manager for Canada at Travel2.

Marvin will be a key point of contact for TravelOnly advisors through marketing support, monthly communications, one-on-one appointments focusing on individual annual sales plans, and connecting advisors with the right tools for their business, stated a release.

“I have been fortunate to have worked alongside many of the TravelOnly advisors over the years and, have travelled with several of them to the South Pacific,” Marvin stated. “I am honoured to be part of such a dynamic team and look forward to helping them become even more efficient and successful.”

With more than 600 travel advisors in its network, TravelOnly has been growing exponentially, the company states. 

Marvin’s appointment stems from the need for a more personalized support system to help grow the comapny's advisors' business in their local markets. 

“I feel the most important part of our business is to create a positive travel experience, from first interest to return home, and to parlay that into customer relationships and repeat business,” Marvin stated. “The straightest path to achieving this is to proactively ensure that the advisors who are out there, day in day out, trying to cultivate their local presence, have all the training, support and assistance they could need readily available.”

She added: “It’s crucial that advisors have access and support to the many tools available to help in their daily efforts to secure business, and we feel we are finding the best way to achieve that for them.”

Technology is key  

Marvin says technology has become “a major factor” in streamlining business to be more efficient and profitable.

“As technology advances at a fast pace, it can become overwhelming as there are 100 moving parts to the advisor’s role,” Marvin stated. “With social media, websites, shows, etc.., advisors have 100 different faces. My role will help ensure that the advisors are utilizing the most valuable practices, to grow and succeed.”

Gregory Luciani, president and CEO of TravelOnly, believes that Marvin’s appointment reflects TravelOnly’s ambitious vision to double their business by 2022.

“Building a culture of excellence starts from within,” Luciani said. “Over the past few years we have been very strategic about finding the best talent from inside and outside the travel industry.
