Travel Professionals International (TPI) hosted its first in-person event on Dec. 2 since the onset of the pandemic.
The company celebrated their partners and their continued support at a fun axe-throwing event at the BATL Axe Throwing in downtown Toronto.
“We wanted to throw axes at COVID while having fun at it and celebrate our partnership with our amazing suppliers. It has not been an easy road for any of us during these past 20 months, but we could not have come this far without the support of our partners. It is truly a time to celebrate partnerships” said Zeina Gedeon, CEO, TPI. "Together, we are ready to emerge and move forward. We are so excited that we finally got to see everyone in person and take out out frustrations on boards, instead of each other."
"Our relationship with suppliers is very important and critical for both of us and it is important to be there for each other, in good times and bad times. This is not a one-way street – it is a partnership."
The TPI partner appreciation night had more than 40 supplier partners and media partners that came together to celebrate togetherness in person all over again. The evening started with a short speech by Gedeon and Sneha Varghese, director of marketing and partnerships, who welcomed and thanked all their partners for their support and positive attitude over the challenging times.
The night then continued with a fun axe throwing battle between all the attendees and Pat Brady from Transat, Rares Dumitru from Goway Travel and Cris David from Railbookers were the winners of the axe throwing battle.
TPI will be hosting their in-person annual conference in May 2022 at the Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres in Cancun.
