TierOne Travel recently hosted its inaugural educational seminar exclusively for TierOne Travel Consultants, welcoming them to Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos for four days of training and exploration of the resort property.
The four-day, three-night trip to Los Cabos was hosted by Tier One’s Shelley Ewing, and Shelley Parry, president and general manager respectively, and Freddie Marsh, business development manager of Playa Hotels & Resorts Western Canada, and WestJet.
Consultants were given an opportunity to tour the resort on a site inspection followed by dinner at Dozo, the resort’s Asian restaurant serving teppanyaki-style cuisine. The following day, consultants attended a morning training session from presenters including Playa Resorts, Los Cabos Tourism, WestJet, Terramar and TierOne Travel. That evening, the consultants enjoyed a sunset cruise to Land’s End (El Arco de Cabo San Lucas) where they dined on fajitas and mingled while enjoying the sunset from the sea.
On the third day, TierOne visited Casa Hogar, a local orphanage that provides housing and resources for children in need. The rest of the day, consultants were free to experience the resort on their own time. We then gathered for one last group dinner, a Farewell dinner hosted on the resort’s beautiful beach during sunset where we ate family-style “The Casa Hogar orphanage experience was especially heartwarming and TierOne’s generosity was truly appreciated,” said Ewing.
“We shared a great experience together, improving our knowledge of Cabo, Hyatt/Playa resort, WestJet Vacations and of course, each other,” said LaurieLee Rosser, TierOne Travel Independent Travel Consultant. “I treasure the friendship and the camaraderie – we have a great group of people with us at TierOne Travel. I hope this was the first of many educational travel experiences to come – knowledge is key!”
