A Toronto travel agent has been fined $5,000 on Travel Industry Act charges, according to TICO.
Marek Paszyn and Aquarius Scuba Diving Centre Inc. (Aquarius) plead guilty and were each convicted of one count of operating as a travel agent without registration, contrary to the Travel Industry Act. Paszyn was sentenced to a fine of $4,000 plus the Victim Fine Surcharge, for a total of $5,000. Aquarius received a suspended sentence.
