Marc Pelletier has been named senior director, marketing, communications and events at Transat Distribution Canada (TDC).
In this role, Pelletier will be responsible for the development and implementation of marketing strategy and programs for all TDC brands as well as communications and events, leading the team and playing a key role in maximizing profitability and achieving TDC's business objectives.
As a member of the leadership team, he will work closely with the leaders of TDC’s various sectors, wrote Karine Gagnon
general manager at TDC, in a note to the industry.
"He will be responsible for continuing to evolve TDC’s position as the leading leisure travel retail company in Canada, will be responsible to own TDC brands and ensure relevancy, awareness, and compliance across the board," she said.
Pelletier has more than 15 years of experience as a leader in marketing and communications. He has extensive knowledge of the marketing environment in retail, brand management, and franchising.
He was also most recently vice-president of marketing and communications at La Cage (Groupe Grandio) and previously worked for large organizations such as Bell Canada and Lasik MD.
"I am convinced that Marc's experience, his passion for brands and his rigor as a leader are excellent assets that will enable him to successfully carry out his mandate," Gagnon wrote.
