Expedia Group has unveiled discounts and promotions to help members of its Travel Agent Affiliate Program (TAAP) find spring and summer destinations in popular locations such as Miami, Cancun, Las Vegas, New York, Rome, Barcelona and Paris for their clients.
Global travel and tourism is expected to experience record highs this year as travellers take advantage of vaccinations and flexible work conditions to make the most of their upcoming holidays, the company says.
Expedia TAAP's Spring Sale offers 30 per cent off in savings on thousands of hotels worldwide.
In all regions, the offers are valid on bookings made up until March 31, 2022, for travel by Sept. 6, 2022.
“Travel is about to experience a year unlike ever before as people plan purpose-driven trips and increase their investment in unique experiences,” said Phoebe Bush, director, Expedia TAAP Americas, Expedia Group. “Our agents are likely to face an influx of requests and enthusiasm from travellers as the entire industry shifts to demand and growth.”
Time for a vacation
Recent research from Expedia Group’s Travel Value Index 2022 Outlook revealed that 81 per cent of travellers plan to take at least one vacation with family and friends in the next six months.
Approximately half of millennials (49 per cent) and nearly the same percentage of Gen Z (47 per cent) say they’re likely to travel internationally or already have an international trip booked in 2022.
Expedia Group is creating incentives and services for Expedia TAAP agents, including access to a virtual agent, a self-service functionality that allows agents to manage bookings more efficiently and the new TAAP Academy learning portal.
Last month, Expedia Group rolled out a new highly requested quotation tool to help TAAP agents personalize quotes per traveler.
"Much more is in the works" in 2022 to support TAAP agents’ success, the company says.
